Sweeney International Marine Corp. (SIMCorp) is proud to announce a significant leadership transition as we honour the retirement of our founder and CEO, Bob Sweeney, and welcome Ted Weaire as our new Chief Operating Officer.
Bob Sweeney has been the driving force behind SIMCorp since its inception, building a company rooted in innovation, integrity, and a deep commitment to marine sustainability. Under his leadership, SIMCorp has grown into a trusted leader in marine monitoring and management, with a reputation for excellence across the industry. We extend our deepest gratitude to Bob for his vision, dedication, and the legacy he leaves behind.
As we look to the future, we are excited to welcome Ted Weaire to the SIMCorp team. Ted joins us from Ocean Fleet Services, where he served as Director of Operations, North America. With over 18 years of experience in marine operations and ocean sciences, Ted brings a wealth of knowledge and leadership to this newly created role. As COO, he will oversee company operations and lead strategic planning and development.
“Ted is a highly regarded leader in the marine industry and is well-positioned to help our firm broaden its marine science expertise and offerings,” said Bob Sweeney. “With his experience across all aspects of fish-farming operations and ocean sciences, we look forward to his leadership in our work to champion sustainable innovation and support strong working oceanic projects.”
Ted’s appointment is effective July 2, 2025, and marks an exciting new chapter for SIMCorp as we continue to grow and evolve while staying true to our mission of supporting sustainable marine environments.
